Drawn from sources all over the known universe…

  • The Flowfield Unity book is now available.
  • Webcomic Secret Summer 2008 is now accepting participants. It’s just like Webcomic Secret Santa but for summer.
  • Rene Engstrom, creator of Anders Loves Maria, is back from hiatus.
  • Hudson Phillips runs a ‘women in comics’ roundtable.
  • Lines and Colors has a post about the Orphan Works Act of 2008 and how it affects visual artists.
  • Just found The Floating Lightbulb, a site devoted to webcomics; and through them another collective that I’ve not heard of before, the Flavorwhip webcomics collective. Also, a list or portal site of some sort called Psychedelic Treehouse. How did I miss all this?
  • Floating Lightbulb reviews Chloroville, another webcomic I’ve never heard of. It’s a big big world of webcomics out there.
  • ROK Mobile Comics is running a membership driving contest. Get five new creators to try out ROK Comics and you will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of the new deluxe edition of The Killing Joke re-colored by Brian Bolland. You also get a chance to win something if you are a new creator signing up on ROK Comics; you could win a copy of Ruth Modam’s Exit Wounds. Once they sign up and have created content in the ROK system then have them email John.freeman@rokmedialtd.com saying who suggested they try out ROK Comics.
