  • Platinum Studios announced in their newsletter that they recently had an independent firm perform an IP asset valuation and came up with the estimated worth of a little over $150MM.
  • Heidi MacDonald has a great post about how Platinum is dealing with D.J. Coffman, now saying that they’re not going to hand back the rights after all. I guess $150MM isn’t enough and D.J. is right, it’s never too late to do the right thing; I’m looking at you Brian Altounian. Joey Manley has more.

  • Webcomics Inc. is a blog about webcomics that I’ve just discovered as well as the Webcomics Inc social network on Ning.
  • As reported by The Beat, Tokyopop publisher Mike Kiley sent out this letter to TP creators after announcing title cuts and staff layoffs.
  • The Webcomic Overlook reviews OOTS.
  • Rate My Drawings is hosting Drawing Day, this from Lines and Colors.
  • Cloven Hand Comics, yet another site I’ve discovered today for hosting and community services.
