Webcomic Wire – 5/14/08

Drawn from sources all over the world…

  • Some more superdickery, I wish this was not true but it appears that copyright comes with the cape instead of courage. Warner Bros. aught to know better; shame on them. Heidi MacDonald has more.
  • Webcomic Asylum reviews Of Noobs And Men.
  • ROK Comics turns one year old. Congratulations!
  • The Rampage Network, a webcomic hosting site, is planning a re-launch promising bi-monthly contests in addition to free hosting for webcomic artists.
  • Bill Holbrook releases his 13th book. That’s quite an achievement, congratulations!
  • Order Of The Stick wins Favorite Web-Based Comic category of the Eagle Awards. Congratulations OOTS!
  • The Webcomic Watchman reviews Your Fantasy Here!
  • The Webcomic Overlook has an interesting post entitled John Campbell vs. Kate Beaton: War of the Webcomics.
  • An interview at News-A-Rama with Diesel Sweeties creator R. Stevens.
  • Here’s a forum thread over at WebcomicZ called What Makes a Good Webcomic?
  • The Scienteers ask Josh Lesnick ten questions.
  • Three-Way Comic gets revived with v 2.0. I wonder when everyone will collectively decide that we’re on to v 3? Don’t mind my web 2.0 snark.

If it wasn’t already called the Webcomic Wire I would almost certainly steal Big Fat Sack o’ News for a title! You’re most welcome.

Wow, I’ve been linked to on a webcomic podcast site. I’d be happier about this if I was on a caffiene rush, but since I’m not, a smile and a nod will have to suffice until I can get back in the groove.
