Webcomic Wire – 9/10/07

Drawn from loads of places, loads of em…

  • Humphry Barasa and his bus shelter cartoons from Kenya.
  • Phil Frank, the creator of Farley and Elderberries is retiring due to illness. Our best wishes for recovery to you Phil!
  • ComicMix.com is adding new components to their site, to be included are new webcomics by ‘major comics talent.‘  The only catch is that you have to download their proprietary reader, which is free, but still seems like an unnecessary hurdle to ask of readers.
  • 2007 Harvey Award winners.
  • The AP has an interesting analysis of new comic book downloads for cell phones.
  • Derik A. Badman talks about Things to Think about When Creating a Comic.
  • Josh Roberts takes over for Xerexes on the webcomic wiki project Comixpedia.org.
  • I saw a story about a program that allows you to create your own World of Warcraft comics; however, I cannot find it now.  Anyone know about this?

I’ll try to dig the link up. I saw it yesterday on something that Krishna of pcweenies.org linked.
