Drawn from various sources throughout the known universe…

  • DC Comics enters the world of webcomics with Zuda.com. They will be accepting submissions. More info from everyone else!
  • PC World has a small article about more comics providing content for mobile devices. With the current generation of devices and new services to help make this happen like Clickwheel and ROK Comics, small publishers can get into the game too. The Apple Gazette has more on webcomics for mobile devices and the iPhone.
  • Seven Sea’s ‘Hollow Fields’ creator Madeleine Rosca has won Japan’s first ever International Manga Award. Active Anime has more.
  • Recently announced partnership between Valve Software and Penny Arcade will result in the popular webcomic coming to Valve’s digital distribution platform Steam.
  • A brief post about effective fund raising by a webcomic called Exiern by Reinder Dijkhuis of the blog Waffle. Check out some of the things they do there like extra comics if donation levels are met and special wallpapers for donations rewards.
  • The webcomic Big Pond, founding webcomic of Bomb Shelter Comics, is coming to an end. Creator Dak will still be writing for Way of the Geek and making comics for InnerGeek as well as working on Dakamus and contributing to the Kid’s Book Project.
